Yesterday was Evan's 11th Birthday! Where in the hell did time go?! It seems like just yesterday I was lugging him around in his car seat and making sure he didn't ingest anything inedible! I sure miss the days of rocking him to sleep at night and his inability to talk back to me :)
Anyway, he decided to have his birthday extravaganza at Fat Cat's for a little bowling, pizza, and games. For the last few years he's had his party at Boondock's, so I was a little excited for the change. Things went well I suppose.
Keeping track of 6 boys is always a good time.
After Fat Cat's we went back to his grandma's for cake and presents. His requests this year were all fulfilled as usual. Nintendo DS ( his 3rd one), a cd player, and an iPod Nano. Not to mention 100 dollars from friends and a few gift cards. Lucky.
While downloading pics of his birthday, I started reminiscing about my childhood birthday parties. They were nothing compared to Evan's. Usually they were held at my house, where we played silly games and my parents always embarrassed me. Although one year I did have my party at the ice rink and it was the talk of the town. Jk.
I hope Evan remembers these days as vividly as I remember my childhood. I hope he smiles...
